Alivia Ann Cavanaugh

Our baby girl was born on Mothers Day. We woke up Mothers day morning and I was having really bad cramps. I let it go for about an hr and then decided to get up and take a shower and shave my legs. LOL..... After the shower I woke Aaron up and told him that I think I was having contractions. So we pulled the stop watch out and timed them. Sure enough, they were 2-3 min apart. Luckily, Grandma Barb was here so she stayed with Trevor while mommy and daddy drove to the hospital.
Alivia was not going to come on her scheduled day. She wanted to make her own appearance. She was born @ 9:31am on Sunday May 9th. She was 8'9" and 21 in. Perfect in my book.
While in the hospital they offered to give me pain killers. First of all, I hate pain killers, but I took them anyways. About an hr after taking them I started to have problems with my chest. I couldn't breathe in deep. I told them about it and lets just say, they don't take chest pains very lightly. I had every test possible done to me.
Well, they ended up waking me up at 3am to take me down for a VQ scan. or something like that. Well, on my way down to get this test done they told me that I would have to pump and dump for 24 hrs. I cried, because Ali was doing so good with the breast feeding and I would have to feed her formula. After the test, they told me to drink lots of fluid. Well, a couple hrs after that test they came in and told me that they wanted to do a gall bladder ultrasound. But, in order to do that I needed to fast for 6 hrs. Aaron told them absolutely NOT. How do they expect me to get this dye out of my system if I have to fast? UGH...... well, the pain in the chest went away after about 3 days. Thank goodness.
We got to go home on Thursday. Grandma Barb was here for the whole week and helped out so much with Trevor.

Trevor absolutely LOVES his little sister. He cannot stop touching her and kissing her and he loves showing her off!!

Here are some pics from Alivias birth.
