Christmas with Grandpa Jerry and Grandma Roby

The Saturday after Christmas we celebrated with my dad and step mom. We had Robys delicious lasagna and salad. It was so good. We had a great time with everyone. We opened gifts and just relaxed.

Better Late then never.... Christmas Eve and day!

Christmas Eve I had to work. So, Trevor and daddy hung out and when I got off work we headed over to my Aunt and Uncles house. It was so nice to see everyone and visit with grandma and Grandpa (Trevors Great grandparents). He also opened up a gift from Grandpa Jerry and Grandma Roby. He got a Mr. Potato head (1 of 3 that he recieved this year). He loved it and got the hang of it pretty well.

Christmas morning we woke up nice and early and checked out the goodies that santa left in our stockings. Then we packed up some gifts and headed to Grandma Kim and Grandpa Troys house. Santa must have forgotten some gifts when he stopped at our house, because there were presents from santa for us over there. We opened our gifts and had some breakfast then headed to Auntie Lisas house (yeah, no time to rest)!!
Once we got to Auntie Lisas we visited and played the dice game. Poor Trevor must have had a tummy ache and we had to leave early. He had a horrible rash on his bottom. He wasn't in very good shape. Later that night Grandma Kim and Grandpa Troy came over with boys and we played games and had some wine. It was a nice night.

Our CRAZY couple of weeks!

Where do we begin?
We'll start with Wed. Dec 16th (I hope I get the dates right). We packed up the car and headed to Grand Rapids, MI to spend Christmas with Aarons family. We were going to leave Thursday bright and early, but we decided that it might be easier for Trevor if we left later Wed. night and then Trevor could sleep the whole way there. I guess it was wishful thinking on our part. It was about a 9-10 hr drive, we left our house at 7:30pm and Trevor slept MAYBE a total of 3 hrs. YIKES. The good thing, he never fussed or cried. He just sat in the carseat and laughed and talked to us. He was trying to keep daddy company while mommy slept. We got to Grandma Barbs house @ 5:30am (4:30am our time). The bad thing was, when we got there, Trevor was NOT ready to sleep yet. He ended up staying up until 7:30 am. Yeah, he was almost up for 24 hrs straight. But, he was happy. We finally all got to get a little bit of sleep before Trevor was up at 11am. He was all off schedule, but he was a trooper. The first day in Michigan we didn't do a whole lot. We had to go buy the rest of stocking presents for Trevor, since we weren't going to have any time to go before Christmas. Then we decided to be lazy the rest of the day, since we were all running on fumes.
Friday AM we woke up to about 12 inches of snow on the ground. WOW.... it was a TON of snow. Aaron and his mom ran to Best Buy while Trevor and got to sleep in. It was so nice. We spent most of Friday indoors since the weather decided to drop about 14 inches of snow total that day. Friday night we went to Aaron and Kristins for dinner. Trevor and Morgan had fun playing together and the adults had a few drinks and caught up with each other.
Saturday we woke up early and had to head up north to spend Christmas with Aarons dads family. They live about 45 min north of Aarons mom. We spent the morning with his immediate family and had brunch. Then the rest of the family came up and we got to open the rest of our gifts and played. Trevor loved playing with all his cousins. He doesn't get to spend time with them, so it's always fun to see them play together.
Saturday night we left Aarons dads house and went to watch the Grand Rapids Griffins (hockey team). Aarons mom had a suite for work. It was soooo much fun. Trevor LOVED it. After the game we stepped out of the arena to MORE SNOW. That night we got another 8 inches.
Sunday night we woke up to TONS of snow and ice. We had to drive another 45 min to Aarons moms sides Christmas. We almost bailed, but decided to tackle the snow since we never see anyone and really wanted to see everyone. It really wasn't that bad of a drive once we got on the main roads. For some reason they don't plow side roads for a day or two. It gets pretty messy!
We spent some time with Aarons moms family and then we all headed back down to Aarons moms house and spent time with just his immediate family and opened more gifts. It was nice hanging out with Christy aand Page and the kids. They are all getting so big.
At this point we were getting really worried about our traveling home the next day. Aaron ended up buying a plane ticket for Trevor and I, since we didn't want to screw Trevors schedule up again and it's tough for Trevor to be hooked in a carseat for 9-10 hrs. So, Aaron was making the trip home by himself. I was VERY worried.
We watched the weather and checked roads and kept fingers crossed that things would clear up for the next day.
Monday we woke nice and early and Aaron drove Trevor and I to the airport. Aaron was taking a different way home to try to stay clear of weather. That didn't happen though. He still ran into weather. Luckily, he made it home in time to help with Trevors bath and put him to bed.
Overall, it was a GREAT long weekend. Even though we managed to make our trip there during one of the worst snow storms in 30-40 years!

Trevors first "sleep over"

Friday night the Henriksens had a Christmas party so we got to have Logan play at our house. The boys are so cute together, they really have a great time playing.

Here are some cute picture of the boys coloring and playing with trucks.

Big, Scary Santa!

Thursday night we went to see Santa at my work with the Henriksens. I knew that Trevor wasn't going to be a fan, but I didn't realize it was going to be as bad as it was.
Trevor had a great time running and playing with all the kids that were there. I couldn't believe all of them. Didn't realize that so many people at work had little kids. It was so much fun watching Trevor interact with them and just have a great time.
We let Jen and Jeremy go first, thinking if Trevor saw Logan go, maybe it would make it easier for Trevor. No such luck! Jeremy, Jen and Logan got a good picture, of course Logan had to sit on dads lap.
We tried to put Trevor on my lap and then have me sit on Santas lap, yeah, not having that either. Trevor was so worried about me sitting on this big scary guys lap. He kept looking over my shoulder at him and then when he would see him he would start screaming again. It's so sad that us moms, love this. Even though our poor kids are terrified of this guy, we still force them to sit on his lap!
After santa we went to have dinner with the Henriksens at Jakes. It was a pretty fun night!

Weekends go to fast!

It was a good busy weekend, again! We are just waiting for next week when we get to go home to Michigan. We can't wait. We are also excited to get away for a long weekend.

Saturday we got up and Trevor had swimming class. So, Aaron decided that he would swim with him. He had so much fun with Daddy. After swimming Trevor was so exhausted, he took a nap and then we went outside for a little bit. The sun was out, so we tried to take advantage of it. Saturday night we had a little girls night and Kate brough TJ over. So him and Trevor had a chance to play a little bit.

Sunday Kelly, Nicole, Mom, G-ma, Jane, Roby and I wenbt dress shopping with Kelly for a wedding dress. She found one and it is sooooooo pretty. She is going to make a beautiful bride.

Hope everyone has a great week! We get to see santa on Thursday and then we are going to dinner with Jen, Jeremy and Logan. Hopefully we get some good pictures. I'm not too sure that Trevor will be a fan of santa!

Very busy week

We have alot to catch up from the last time that I had posted.

Sunday before Thanksgiving, we celebrated turkey day with my moms side of the family. We had such a great day. Trevor had a little bit of everything, and of course ate tons. I was sharing some pumpkin pie with Trevor and Uncle Bo came up and kept saying, "are you eating pumpkin pie?" and Trevor would look at him and say "pukinpie"...... it was so cute and he just kept repeating it. It was nice to see everyone and just enjoy the day with family.

Thanksgiving morning we got up and met Grandma and Grandpa Rich at the airport. Trevor was so excited to see them. He ran right up to Grandma and let her hold him while we went to get the bags. After dropping them off at our house, we headed to my dads side of the family and visited for a while. (We missed you dad and Roby). Trevor again, had a HUGE plate of food. He tried cranberries for the first time and loved them. I really don't know what food he doesn't eat! He played with all the kids and then it was time to head home and take a nap.
While Trevor was napping Grandma Barb and I started preparing dinner for that night. Yes, all we did was eat this day! Aaron and Uncle Steve deep fried a Turkey, it turned out GREAT. After dinner, my mom and Troy and Nani and Papa came over for pie and to visit and see Aarons mom & Lloyd. We had so much fun.

Friday morning (black Friday), we woke up and headed to Target, Walmart, lunch and Best Buy. It really wasn't as busy as we thought it would be. After we got done at Best Buy, we went home and put Trevor down for a nap. When he woke up, we went back out to finish shopping! Trevor is definetly going to be spoiled this year. I am so excited for Christmas!

Sat. morning we woke up nice and early and headed out to get our Christmas tree. We went to a tree farm in Lakeville. We found a tree that we love. Trevor kept Grandpa Lloyd busy, he was just all over that place. Trevor also got to ride his first ride. It was one of those machines that you put a quarter in. He LOVED it. He was all smiles, but of course I didn't get any pictures of him smiling. We came home and set the tree up. Then Sat. afternoon we headed to the hotel that Grandma and Grandpa were staying at and went swimming with a bunch of family. We could not get Trevor out of the pool. That kid like a fish!

Sunday morning we woke up and decorated the tree and had some good relaxing time before it was time to say goodbye to Grandpa and Grandma. The good part of this is that we get to see them again the weekend before Christmas, since we will be making a long Road Trip to Aarons hometown!

Boy, it was definetly a busy week! I'm sure I missed somethings!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DANIELLE ON THE 3RD.
